Julep Oxygen Nail Treatment - What Is It?

The February Maven product is... Oxygen Nail Treatment Complete nail care, and make-up all in one bottle. Made with a patented Hexanal formulation, nails are restructured to a stronger, thicker, and smoother condition in just one stroke.

So did you see this and still not quite understand EXACTLY what it was? Was it a base coat? A nail treatment? How do you use it? Well I sure did! So I called up Mary (seriously, how WONDERFUL is that woman?! I hope Julep appreciates how wonderful she is!) and asked her for details.

The Oxygen Nail Treatment is a pale pink colour. It can be worn alone as a subtle polish, or as a base coat under your favourite colour. If you use it, you would NOT use your Julep Nail Therapy or other base coat. I have been using Julep Nail Therapy exclusively since I first tried it, about a year before the maven program started. For about two and a half years I have steadily REFUSED to use or even try any other base coats. I found my holy grail. After years and years of struggling with chipping and breaking and peeling nails I had my little bottle of magic. So why try anything else? So I am now torn. Do I try this knowing that Julep has been known to make some kick ass products (the only acetone free polish remover on the planet that WORKS as one example)? Or do I stick with my little bottle of what works and be done with it? Hmmm.......

But yes, for those of you who were unsure, this is a strengthening product that can be used alone and give your nails a subtle colour while strengthening and improving the nail structure or as a base coat (so similar to the Nail Therapy) but it has a light pink shade that makes it very much a stand alone all in one product if you so choose.

Are you excited for it?

  3. On the box it says not to use with any other polish. Which has me wondering... Do I use nail polish remover to take it off or does it just wear off?
